Kassidy Marie Wilk, age 14, of Elizabethtown, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 24, according to her obituary from Finkenbinder Family Funeral Home.

Kassidy was born in Hershey and raised by her grandparents, Thomas and Melinda Hackman, her family said. She played softball for Donegal High School, and also loved soccer, gymnastics, laughing at memes, and working at Papa John’s Pizza.

“She was a kind, loving girl who will be greatly missed by family and friends,” her obituary says.

Kassidy is survived by her grandparents, her brother Devon Martinez, and her uncle and aunt, Grant and Casey Wilkie.

“I never thought in a million years that I would have to share something like this,” Grant Wilkie wrote in a Facebook tribute. “Kassidy, you were loved more than you will ever know… from the first time I held you to our final goodbye, you will always own a piece of my heart.”

A GoFundMe started by Emileigh McNally to support funeral and memorial expenses raised more than $16,000 as of press time. “Any contribution, no matter the size, will help us give her the dignified send-off she deserves and ease the financial burden during this difficult time,” the fundraiser says.
